Welcome!

Couple thoughts as you look into tires. There's no need to stay with 275s or even 285s on the LX. The LC is more constrained in tire width than the LX. Arguable, you'll want at least a 285 for good cornering traction with taller profile tires as they'll give up quite a bit of handling to your original wheel and tire package. That's not to say you can't have your cake and eat it too.

The easy button in my mind for a mild tire size upgrade is a 285/65R18 @ 32.6" tall. You can toss that on any OEM LC or Tundra wheel and it'll just work. Or with an aftermarket 18" wheel in the +35 to +50 range.

Exactly. Or even running without a front flap. It's not as extreme down here, but I find it pretty important to keep the tires within the tire well. Kicking up rocks and debris is very real on the freeway or off-road. More important pulling a trailer with the possibility to break glass or denting aluminum. It was important to me to keep the front flaps even with 35s.

Just fitted some TRD Pro BBSs. With 275/70/18s. Fits like a glove and shedding 15# per corner has made braking phenomenal!

Thanks for everyone for their feedback and advice. Going with close to OEM fitment was the goal and these Tundra wheels fit the bill!

I know this thread has been idle for a minute, but I ran across it in my search for similar answers to the OPs question. I've got a stock 2019 LX 570 and I wanted to upgrade the tire and wheels. I also have the 21"s and have put an order in for a set of Evo Corse Dakarzero in 18x8.5. Offset on these wheels is +45. Was wanting to know if I could run a 275/70r18 or even a 285/70r18. I've not done the sensor lift nor do I really want to remove the front mud flaps. I'm in south Ga so it's mainly swamp and mud here - no rock climbing or any major technical crawling. Any help would be appreciated!

For the 275/70-18 you will likely have to minimally “adjust” the section of the front mud flaps that extend up into the wheel well with a heat gun, drill, and zip ties. For the 285 you will for sure have to at least make adjustments and could have to remove the front flaps

This is the exact setting up I’m looking for. Ty for posting! How much did u trim? BMC? Spacers? AHC adjustment? And and all details would be appreciated!
Of course, hope I can help! I didn’t trim anything, no BMC, no spacers. Sensor bolts moved all the way up in the front, and all the way down in the rear. Moved the front fender liner forward and took off the mud flaps in the front. Method 705 with 25 offset and 35x17x10.5 Kenda Klever RT.

Some more pictures that hopefully give you a good idea of fitment with the offset. Second picture I think is in Hi mode.

FYI - I spoke to my go-to shop (RPM Off Road in CA) wanting the exact same wheel/tire setup. They were adamant saying my setup would require extensive trimming, BMC, sensor lift, etc. I pushed back by mentioning ur post leaving the convo at a stalemate. 🫠

Anyone have pictures of a silver 2016+ LX570 with the gold Heritage Edition wheels?
I'm trying to see what that combo looks like and would rather the gold versus the black Tundra wheels.

Here’s a “wish” version-gold on silver

I have no problems taking closer wheel well pictures if you like. Check this out and you’ll see no rubbing and complete tuck with lots of wheel turning. Second you can see clearance and tuck in the rear a bit. In the YouTube video on the profile you can see full rear tuck too.

If you aren’t buying cheap tundra wheels, I’d suggest considering 17” wheels. Just as many, if not more tire options, and generally about 20% cheaper across the board. Plus 34s on 17s look beefy, they look beefy on 18s too, but 17s is what I went with.

I've been reviewing info on this amazing site for 6 months. Your wheels/tires look great. Could you provide tire size, offset, and the tire/wheel manufacturer details? I'd like to see if this would work for a 2017 LX570 I bought 6 months ago. Thanks!

Looks like 285 75 17 on a 17” wheel w 50 offset…likely with a 1-1.25” spacer.

Yes and yes and no spacer.

It’s the LT285/75R17 Load E Toyo OC AT 3 on ET 50s. The wheels are forged Toyota TRDs that were optional on earlier 200 series Land Cruisers. Also came on all Tundra Rock Warrior packaged trucks. No spacers. Didnt hit any metal, but you’ve got to move plenty of plastic for it to fit.

Those wheels were never offered on a 200.
