Can you tell me if alignment lifts are level? .. or are they supposed to be?

There's nothing in the FSM about what to do with AHC at time of alignment, but I've always wondered about turning off AHC before handing over the keys to the shop, or telling them to let it level out once its raised up on the lift.

My alignment lift is specifically made for big trucks, its max weight is 12000lbs. It is very long and it is a 4 post. I would never take my car to alignment shop that has a scissor lift OR a parallelogram. I have had a lot of issues in the past with those which caused alignment hell.

My machine is a John Bean (snap on) aligner. The software tells you exactly what to do and gives measurements as to where to measure for proper height. After the height is measured the aligner takes those measurements and gives you data points as to how to align the vehicle.

I honestly believe that my issue are the tires. If i had brand new tires i don't believe i would have had this issue.

AHC - I don't believe by turning it off or raising it up or down will change anything BUT misalign the vehicle. Reason being the vehicle will have it on and will adjust height constantly during your drive. I did raise the vehicle when i adjusted my caster to really push the tires forward for my 33's. This only changed during the caster and when i did the alignment it was off per the toe being in a raised position when i adjusted it.

Just got an alignment and the rig still pulls to the right. It seems like it is a lot more sensitive to the crown in the road now. If I am far left lane and let go of the wheel it will cruise over to the far right lane pretty quickly running about 70mph. I know my tires are a little larger so they may track but this is a bit of a hassle.

295/35/24 Nitto's - what is proper tire pressure for these?

Your thrust angle is causing the car to go to LEFT which makes your steering wheel go LEFT in order to go straight. Your car is going to the RIGHT when you let go of your steering wheel.

Have them swap REAR tires and you should see a different in TOE.

You should measure your tire SIZES and makes sure that a BIGGER size tire is on the right rear to compensate for the TOE in.

TOEIN means that the WHEEL is pointed IN. You have a SOLID REAR AXLE. The TOES should always be around 0. Right now your REAR AXLE is point to the LEFT, maybe bushing OR your Track Arms have been damaged from the TRAILS.

Wish you luck.

I circled the image for you to see what i'm talking about.

If those are the 295/35R24 110H XL Nitto NT420V tires, then the Recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure (RCTIP) on your LX570 is 42psi F/R.

Reviving an old thread, I just got back from a 5k mile road trip where I chewed through a set of ko2s. 🤬. Toe was way out of whack for some reason, even though I had truck aligned at Lexus 6 months ago. Truck drove straight as an arrow and didn’t have any handling abnormalities that would have eluded to alignment being off. Had truck aligned at dealer again and got these numbers after realignment. Thoughts?
