Lx470 Park/neutral switch (1 Viewer)

I’ve concluded that my Park/Neutral position switch has gone bad on my 2006 LX470. Has anybody used a Toyota part for this in their Lexus? There is a significant price difference between the two parts but Toyota says they can’t cross reference the part for some reason.

Lexus part number is 84540-40010 and is $220.87
Toyota part number is 84550-02020 and is $70.87

For $70 I’d try it. If it doesn’t work, send it back for refund and get the Lexus variant.

One is a parking brake switch, the other is a neutral/start switch... but not even the correct part #, as far as I can tell. Perhaps 84540-71010

I didn’t even google it after Toyota got me the number and price. Your part number looks correct vs the one Toyota got me. Thanks for that!
