2007 LX470. I have water leaking out of the overhead console today. Wanted to open it up but could not get it out. I got the 4 clips popped out but it still will not drop down. What am I missing?

Is this a common issue? I assume sunroof leakage.

On 98-02's, there is a screw accessible under the Homelink button panel.

Clogged sunroof drains or leaky windshield seal/rust are the most common reasons.

Most likely the the drains are plugged. I believe there are four, one on each corner. Find them and use some wire to unclog them.

Search for threads for sunroof leak.

I installed the newer overhead with homelink and sunglasses holder on my 98 and it still uses the screw it’s in the sunglasses holder compartment. But that’s all there is. Some wires are short the plugs for various electronics. But that’s it. 4 clips and one screw.

Did you find and/or fix the issue? My 01 leaked a little from that area after our recent rain. Headliner is dry, etc so was wondering what you found. Thanks

Same issue with my 00 after heavy rains. Any updates on this?

Did anyone get an answer from the leaking sources? Mine did this recently so sealed up the edges on the sunroof hasnt leaked since but still makes me feel uneasy

My horn goes off in heavy rains and refuses to stop until I pull off the horn relay under the hood. I once even felt a few drops of water fall on my left foot during the heavy rain. I am planning to pull off the A-pillar trim this weekend and see whats what.

id like to retrofit the console with homelink and sunglass holder into my 2001. Is it pretty much a plug and play and what year/model console do i need?
thanks!

this place never ceases to amaze me the wealth of info. Now I can install my dashcam. Thank you
Hey, can you let me know which wires did you tap into? I'd like to power my dash cam only when ignition is turned on and since Lexus link system is obsolete, I thought I'd tap into that power source.

Attached some pics of my overhead console. Can someone help me identify the connector circled in blue? It did not connect to anything in my console.

When you installed the newer console, do the little ambient lights work as well(was it all plug and play?) I have an 02 wondering if this would work.
