Hello everyone, my problem is similar i can't locks the doors with the remote control, but I can unlocks the doors with the remote control. If I have a door open and press the lock button on the remote control, a loud beeping sound comes out. If I am inside the car and use the buttons manually, it works well, locks and unlocks without any problem. If I lock and close the door manually when I get out of the car, after two minutes and open it with the remote control, does the alarm sound when I open the door? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all, had a strange thing happen yesterday. All of a sudden, my electronic keys for my '02 LX470 stopped working.... but ONLY the lock feature, the unlock works consistently. It's hit or miss... I'd say 1 out of 5 times it locks from the key. I'm fairly certain this isn't a low key battery issue, because my interior door locks have stopped working too. However it's the same behavior. On the driver's and passenger's door, I can unlock the vehicle whenever, but I cannot lock it using the buttons. Same thing, it works like 1/5 times. It seems to me there may be a bad electrical connection somewhere within the car preventing it from locking. I am super unfamiliar with door locking systems generally, so I thought I'd reach out for some help. It seems like some central system is on the fritz, considering that the key lock and the interior door lock switch don't work (only the lock)... Would appreciate any help.
I used the following websites to fix my driverside locks. The motor gets fifty form motor dust. These are free fixes. Right all you pay is your time and patience. Actually I gave it to my son as his first solidarity project with me and these videos as resources! I great project for him to learn he can do it and patience. Good luck and thanks to you ppl and YouTube
