Hi all

My LX470 has been flooded , no not water , I suspect the spark plugs have fouled with too much fuel due to excessive attempts to start

I’m going to be pulling the plugs today when I get a chance but my question is , will whacking need plugs straight in fix this or do the cylinders need to be drained aswell ??
Also does anyone know which one is the starter cylinder ? I’ve been told there is always one on each engine

Cheers

I’ve done this but I don’t hear the cranking , just the starter motor winding up

Your battery must be dead if the engine is no longer cranking over.

you turn the key and the starter spins but does not engage the flywheel?

seems the bendix is bad in the starter, can you tap on the starter?

or worse case scenario is a problem with the flywheel itself, can you spin the flywheel manually a bit and see if the starter no spins the flywheel

Thanks got it ! Plugs were pretty fouled but not much fuel in there surprisingly. The culprit was a split wire at the ECU where the Unichip is spliced in 🙄

One thing I can tell for sure about tiyita wirings... those lasts as long as the truck. The only wire I see that breaks is the door to body wire harness.
