Hi all:

Im new here... im wondering whether the LX470 or new landcruiser headrest will
fit onto the existing LX450 or '97 landcruiser.One of reason i want to change the LX450 headrest because the newer headrest looks much comfy also wider and bigger compare to the old one i have right now.. Thank you.

I think the answer's "no"...seems like i looked into this once before...

Anyone else know for sure?

It would be a "try it and see" deal. The price on new ones will scare you to death. I would not recommend attempting it as the head rest is an accident restraint and is designed to fit a specific seat and react in a specific way in a collision. If you start mixing and matching all functionality bets are off.

Comfortable or not, how often do you rest your head on the headrest? It's there for whiplash protection, as I understand, not necessarily for head placement while driving.
