Hi, everyone I am new in this forum but I have been reading some really good and helpful posts, I installed recently a lift kit OME 3” with 315 tires and The vehicle is now producing a noise when I reduce the speed from 70 mph all the way to 40 mph is like gear noise that I do not know from where is coming ( differentials or transfer case ) I have installed the same kit in a FJ80 with standard transmission years ago and everything was fine. Any ideas or similar experiences I appreciate your help!

I’d start with checking the u-joints. And your drive line angles. As I’m sure you know you can pull the drive shafts independently and try to narrow it down to front or rear.

Grease the joints and test drive one a TV a time. That way if you notice a change in noise you will know which joint is guilty.

I second the upper posters, drive shafts are known to produce noise after such lift. Although it's usually 4" lift that causes noise and vibrations, it's weird that same setup on different cars may make noise or not, so it's only trial&error.
If no joint is faulty, the right way to fix it is double cardan shaft.

I appreciate your tips! After you get an used vehicle even a tank like a Toyota FJ80 you never know if it came with a hidden damage! Thank you guys!

From my personal experience I would not trust anything a 4WP tech tells you....

I once had a Firestone tech break off all of the cam tabs on my FJ Cruiser when performing an alignment. Thankfully they paid for the repairs and he was fired. A few months later I ran into him again .... as a manager at a 4WP. At least he was out of the service department.

Welcome to Mud. :flipoff2: You may be new but your post reads like many dating back to prehistoric times. While you research Mud archives on this subject you will not only find your answer but you will learn much much more than you will ever learn from this thread.
