Sorry if this has been posted before, but is there a supplier of oem LC300 parts to convert the grill, headlights, and rear hatch lights to convert a LX to a LC?
Thanks in advance.

But, you could not import it USA bound...I drove the LX600 great suv, but would love it to say Landcruiser instead of Lexus. Does anyone know the closest country they sell the 300 series I know they have them in Costa Rica.
You should buy one and park it for 25 years until the US allows you to import it.Does anyone know the closest country they sell the 300 series I know they have them in Costa Rica.
Obviously Canada.I drove the LX600 great suv, but would love it to say Landcruiser instead of Lexus. Does anyone know the closest country they sell the 300 series I know they have them in Costa Rica.
You have to satisfy DOT and EPA. Then the question is whether Toyota will actively oppose. (It has a few dollars to spend on that). Last question is whether you can get it insured.....If you are serious about importing an LC300, I would contact some register importers and see if they would be willing to petition it. I say "some" because I'm sure some are better than others at petitioning. To me, the LC300 with the same engine is "substantially similar" to the LX600 as far as vehicle safety compliance.

You can take a look at what other vehicles haver been petitioned. Once one person does it, the flood gates are open.
No. Canada has the same lineup as US and Mexico you can get a Hiace and Hilux but no LC300. There is another thread about someone looking at filing paperwork for petition to import them right nowYou can get an LC300 in North America? Just confirming yay or nay, I was thinking UAE would be the best to import from. Playing with their build site the other day and it looks like a GR is around $110-115,000 USD.
Doesn't matter where you get it from, the 25 year rule means that anything coming to the US has to be officially sanctioned and it is a major undertaking to get something in that has not been certified by the DOT and EPA. In Canada, it's 15 years, in the US it's 25 years. So until a vehicle is 25 years old, it isn't getting registered and driven here unless someone goes through a bunch of stuff to do it. Thank Mercedes Benz in the 1980s and lobbyists for that as they didn't like grey marketers bringing cars over and undercutting dealers. Here is the NHTSA website for you to read about it: Importation and Certification FAQs | NHTSA - https://www.nhtsa.gov/importing-vehicle/importation-and-certification-faqs#:~:text=If%20the%20vehicle%20is%20less,determines%20it%20eligible%20for%20importation.Ok yeah someone said Canada above... Looks like UAE is comparable to US prices (to the LX), LHD, and maybe uses standard units of measurement.
It does matter where you get it from. If the vehicle was originally sold in Canada or Mexico, there is a better chance it complies FMVSS but it is not certain. My Canadian Spec Land Cruiser BJ70, my friends Canadian Spec Long Wheelbase Suzuki Samurai and my other friends Mexican Spec LC100 were all imported into the US when less than 10 years old.Doesn't matter where you get it from, the 25 year rule means that anything coming to the US has to be officially sanctioned and it is a major undertaking to get something in that has not been certified by the DOT and EPA. We have to hope that Toyota decides themselves to bring back the full fat LC here [and revamps the 70 and certifies it while we're at it]
