Ah cool, I was wondering what the mechanism was... whether you can just use one hand or not... then I found this picture. That might work. Thanks.

Hey John,

I had a trivial question for you (since you have both an LX and LC). Do the horns sound different? I ask because in the Japanese magazines they sell the Lexus horn and make it seem like an upgrade.

I hear of upgrading to a Tundra horn. Are they any better?

I have these in all my vehicles. You can find them at Dick's Sporting Goods on the counter where you check out. They work really well, and yes, you can use them with one hand.

I dunno, but I'll find out today.

Yes, it is different. I wish my LC's horn sounded like my wifes LX. The Toyo horn sounds wimpy. The LX horn is deep.

Add a LX horn to your LC. It should be plug and play. I would like a different horn on the LC, besides the tercel horn it comes with. Talk about saving a buck or two.

Well I found a LX drink holder on Ebay that has the butterfly arms to hold the drinks, so now I just need to swap it in, of course when I was taking the plastic wrap off it.....I cut the wood with my knife......so I also need to swap the lids, not that it really matter, the lid is always up and hidden anyway.

Gotta say, its a pretty complex little mechanism that opens/closes the lid.......I took it apart......took me a while to figure how to get it back together

here is the holder I got

Wow, great other thread. I did search, but didn't see it.

Well, I guess I now have to search for a "butterfly" dealie.

These are my favorite add-on cupholders of all time. Sound German engineering and quality (and they are OEM for BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche - when I took the console apart in our old SL500, I saw the cupholder had this exact same mechanism and was stamped Fischer underneath). I have a bunch in the 80 (which woefully lacked good cupholders from the factory).

I got 2 butterfly inserts which bought from ebay. After I received I found out mine is the first picture uploaded by Landpimp. It means it doesn't fit my LC........
Does anyone who knows how can I use those butterfly insert for my cupholders?

Perhaps the butterfly is directional. I was in a hurry and had to dig the divider thing out of the armrest. I seem to be using the cupholder more for a sunglasses thans cups. Where do you guys store your sunglasses? Is there some kind of JDM sunglass holder overhead or something?

I put mine on the ledge under the gauges. (Under the tachometer). It’s never been an issue and easy to get to and no worries about getting them scratched.
