I done a few things that I belive updates my "new to me" 2004 LX. I haven't seen any of these cosmetic changes, so I thought I would share if anyone likes the look and wants to update.

Side Mirror Turn Signals and Puddle Lamps: These are pretty cool and the puddle lamp LEDs match the cool running board lights we have on our LXs. Very bright. Turns are amber LEDs and can be seen from the front and very much so from rear and sides.

2007 Grille- Ordered new from dealer for $230. Best 5 minute upgrade ever for the LX. The 2007 Grille is much better looking and if you have alot of chips or bug damage, it really updates the truck.

Eagle Eye Headlamps with CCL. Don't want any hate mail here, but these really work great and look great IMO. Similar to a BMW headlight. Used the bright bulbs recommended by others. I saw no performance issues.

I took these with my BlackBerry, so sorry they are not great. Have more if anyone wants details.

Nice. I cannot tell the difference between the old and new grille...what is it?

The blades are wider and bigger, the Lexus ovel is bigger and has a honey comb pattern behind it, the grey plastic between the chrome bars are gone. If yo usee them together, it is much more dramatic that I imagined.

"I done = I've completed". Crap...I should proof read and not do this on Nyquil.

If you have the older LX470, the cheapest way to have an all chrome grille is strip the paint off like so...

The 06/07 grille only fits the 03-07 trucks, the 98-02 have different trim panels and such, you'd have to order LOTS of parts.

Looks great for the older ones. Did the paint come right off. Looks like a Billy Mays (God rest his soul) commercial. Since there were no real differences other than Grille or LED tails (well besides, the whole trailer hitch difference) between the 04-to 07, I went the new 07 route.

I like the lights!

Dude, you need some more serious upgrades than some lights and a grille... :D

True, true. Very true.

I had a Jaos rear bar on my 100 at one time.

I'll leave it at that. :o

Take her easy Mac.....

Everyone has to start some where with their mods.....
:p
:D

Hey Loud,

What did you use to strip the paint off without damaging the chrome finish below?

Thanks,
Ali

I know, weak. Been there, Done That, Have the 35s to prove it. Sold my monsta ride, now I'm going low profile for a while. It was fun, but I was getting to old for playing tonka.

LX 470 Upgrades - Headlamps / Grill / Tires?

Hey... I have scoured the internet looking for Headlamp photos after the installation... thanks for posting.... I have a 99 LX470 which I run around the woods with (upstate NY), go skiing, heavy NYC traffic, etc.... needles to say, I love my truck BUT need some upgrade, repair, cosmetic band aids.....

My headlights are a MESS....

Now that a few months have passed, are you still happy with yours, what are the caveats, how was the install, what make (Anzo? seems to be the leader) and general comments.... One year I threw BF Goodrich TA KO's on mine and it added a lil beef to the side view of mine... a lil noisy, but fir the stock rims and I've always had them on other trucks. Fabulous "all around" dirt, mud, snow, street....

Any info would be appreciated. AND photos are ALWAYS the best

Thanks for your time.
Robert

Went to your link and the can shown does not give a name.
Just says "Paint and Varnish Sripper" Goolgled a lot but could not find it. Everything seems to have Methylene chloride in it. Yours does not.

Could you let us know the mfr name? Maybe where you bought it?

Thanks,
