Anyone know who has ARB Sahara Bar for LX 470 in stock.? I have one on order locally, and after hearing it's arrival was delayed, I called ARBUSA to see what the delay was all about. According to the person I spoke to at ARB, they have no record of which dealers carry what inventory (or even who ordered what in the recent past), and the few bumpers that are arriving here from OZ in the next few containers won't land in ANY US dealers (of the one's who already ordered) unilt August. August? Wow, so I ordered in late May and getting a bumper in August? Seems strange but what do I know, I'm just a silly consumer. No doubt it is all about a fundamental economical law of supply and demand, but realy all I want is a a bullbar for wife's LX. Any ideas?
Thanks!!!!

Depends on the year of your LX. There are two LX sahara bars, one for 98-8/02 (4spd) and the other for 8/02-05 (5spd). I got the second to the last one in this country for the 03-05's (I think Slee had the last one for a pending sale). You might check with him. Otherwise, it's a 2 month wait to get one by boat. That's not that long. I ordered a kaymar rear towbar back in mid-Feb, should be arriving in July, and that's stock black!

I had to wait almost 4 months for the sahara on my 4Runner, but that was 2.5 years ago...

good luck!

this is unfortunate. I'd ask your local supplier to call ARB at their head office in Kilsyth, Victoria, Australia which is only 15 minutes away from where i live and find out why there's a delay. There could be a valid reason and you really need to ask the question.
Hopefully you'll get a valid answer.

Alternatively, phone them at their USA office which is on the ARB web site at http://www.arb.com.au/ and see if the official ARB USA guys can help.

cheers
peter

Call Slee Offroad and see if they have one on the shelf. If they have one in stock you could probably get it within 10 days via freight.
