So the rear springs on my 66 look to be stock and I would bet that they are (pictured below). They have 6 main leafs and 3 heavy overload leafs.

The 67 that we picked up looks to have springs on the back that have no overload leafs. They have 7 leafs in the main pack but no overloads. Which brings me to my question.

Did Toyota change the rear springs between 66 and 67 or has someone swapped in 55 or other springs into the back of the 67. They apear to be toyota springs but certinly are not the same as the 66.

Also is there any chance I can find a set of correct LV springs if they have indeed been changed.

Thanks

Michael to my knowledge there was no change of the springs, your '67 likely has some kind of after market set-up. No option for stock LV springs on the market, best option if you want the stock approach is go with Alcan and have them custom made to replicate the stock set. Otherwise go with Dakar heavies in the rear and remove the 3 spring from the top to soften the ride and get closet to stock height.
