Lseats - What's the Deal?? Very Disappointing.

I'm compelled to share my embarrassing story and bad experience with Lseat. Hopefully, others see this before placing an order with them. 4 weeks ago I placed an order for the front and rear seat covers for the J100. I have a 2006 Landcruiser. They finally arrived and I brought the covers and seats to a local upholstery shop a couple of days ago. Today I found out they are the wrong size and do not fit. I called the number on the website several times but never got an answer or a callback. I did get a reply to the e-mail I sent stating I ordered the wrong product and that I should have ordered the LX470. Maybe that is right but the website is not clear and I'm sure others could easily make that mistake. Once more, there is no one to talk to and make sure you ordering the correct product. After several e-mail exchanges, my options are to return the covers and pay a 20% restock fee plus $29 in shipping ($179 total) and wait another 3-4 weeks for the correct set. Or return and receive a credit minus the $179. So I start searching for other options and google leads me to this thread. I wish I would have read it a month ago.

I just called Ridies and spoke to a representative who not only walked me through my order but also agreed to expedite it at no extra charge due to the circumstances. An expensive lesson was learned. The silver lining may be that despite the extra cost I am optimistic that I will end up with a better quality product based on what I read here in earlier post.

STAY AWAY FROM Lseat!

I'm a bit concerned by this photo. I assume the one on the right is what came out of your 06 LC. Trouble is its not what is supposed to be in a 06 LC. The one on the left is correct for 98-07 LC. The one on the right is correct for 98-07 LX. Makes me think someone put LX seats in your LC.

After talking with Ridies representative (great guy) we determined my 2006 Landcruiser had LX seats in the front (curved insert) and LC seats (straight inserts) in the rear. It seems the previous owner changed the front seats at some point. When I removed the seats, I didn't see any evidence that they had ever been removed but who knows. The Ridies representative had me send him pictures and he figured that out and ordered LX for the front seats and LC for the middle row. Fingers crossed when they arrive they will work. I'm optimistic. I do need to correct the record on Lseat. While I'm still disappointed that you can't get a company representative to talk to you when there is a problem and they charge a $150 restock fee, I ordered the wrong covers not knowing I had a mismatched set of seats. Like I stated earlier though, ultimately I do believe I will end up with a higher quality product.

Hey all. Just wanted to bump this and ask if there are any updates on product quality for both Ridies and LSeat? And do any of the Ridies owners have photos installed after a couple years? Thanks

I'd steer clear of Lseats. in 2-1/2 years, my wifes ripped in the center. She's tiny and very delicate when she gets in an out, and they didn't hold up at all. I posted a pic when they started to wear about 6 months ago. Now they are ripped through. You get what you pay for. They are very cheap leather. I'll be replacing them in the future with one of the mud vendors who use quality materials.
