My LS1 swap is going good so far and I ran into my first stumbling block today and need some info from those who have been here before.

My rig
Engine: Chevy 5.3L (LS1)
Transmission: SM465
TXFER Case: OEM Toyota with adapter plate...

Question 1: What Flywheel did you use ?
The 5.3L engine was originally in a pickup connected to an auto transmission which (as you know) only has a flexplate bolted to the crank (not a flywheel).
Since my 5.3 will need a flywheel for the SM465 and since my 350 SBC flywheel does not fit the 5.3 crank.

-->I took a chance and ordered a flywheel for a 5.3L / 6.0L from JEGs today ($200 cheaper than chevy house) along with a pilot bearing (will arrive tomorrow)

Question 2: Assuming that the Flywheel and Pilot bearing I ordered (both) fit the 5.3 crank (they should), what pressure plate and clutch plate should I use ?
Do I order them for a 5.3/6.0 chevy truck or for an older model 350 SBC, etc... ?

Or.... will I need to make modifications to my flywheel/pressure plate, etc... to make them fit ?

--> The throwout bearing will not change ( same as always for SM465)
--> I hope the pilot bearing fit (BOTH) the crankshaft and the pilot shaft of the trans, otherwise I can machine them to fit no problem. I more worried about the Clutch/Pressure Plate/Flywheel.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While waiting for my parts, I plugged the engine into the frame rails and started mocking up the motor mounts. Going to look nice - nice fit.
