Pretty sure there’s no way to diagnose this over the internet, but looking for things to check. 1992 LC, runs perfectly till I get to operating temp then I get a really low idle like it wants to stall… any ideas of where to start would be appreciated. Plugs and wires are new, so I can skip those.

My guess is the VAF, but it would be best to use the FSM troubleshooting guide. It's in the Resources section.

And not go with my guess, first thing.

I'd also *guess* your VAF isn't stylin' and profilin' correctly.

EVERY time I tried to plug in an aftermarket VAF my idling went haywire to some degree, then immediately returned to normal after replacing with the known good unit.

Start with the simple stuff, a crack in the intake tube, vacuum leaks in all hoses hoses including the PVC hoses, oil cap seal or valve cover gasket. These are all things that let unmetered air into the engine.

Sweet. Just ordered most of that stuff. Appreciate you
