Low country nut in the upstate

Folks working in Greenwood this week. Found a great (bit pricey) English Pub and Rest. on 25 in Greenwood. Guess I will be there every afternoon after 5PM (it's five oclock there then) most days this week. Upstate future friends stop by and get a round on doc. Offer wont last forever. All kidding aside, come on down if you can we can talk cruisers and have a Black and Tan. Gone.

If you like onion rings you can get 1/2 and 1/2 with the dixie cheese.

Also for kickers, dont be scared off by the building, its tiny, but you can sit outside if you prefer. I get the Chicken Chimi, but from what others have said its all good.

Also the Japanese place (Nagoya) on 72 across from Kmart is a great place for lunch. (Its cheap and they will cook in front of you, I think the Chicken and rice/vegetables is $6.)

I am just 20 min up the road if you want to talk cruisers or something, wish I would have known you were heading back to G-wood as I could have met up and gotten that stuff. Still trying to meet up with Nigel btwn there kids being sick and us not being able to meet up.

The English pub is good. My dad says there is a place with awesome BBQ somewhere over there near SportsBreak (definately not Lil Pigs BBQ) but I dont know the name. I think they have won a few BBQ competitions.

If Legends was still open you could go there for a beer. It was a "nice" place. LOL.

I think there is a BBQ place back behind something on the opposite side of the road from sports break, but I've never been. It seems lik eit was a hole in the wall as well.

I think that must be where he is talking about. Most good BBQ places are holes in the wall though. You have got me craving a Dixie cheeseburger now.

Didn't make Knickers yet but the Dixie Cheese is the bomb. Great food then just down the street to the Oeden (Ithink) English Pub Rest. was a good day, had a great Black and Tan and( don't get perverted it's the name of a english desert) spotted dick was awesome. 89's Sorry did'nt know I was comming here till last Friday or could have carried it up. Maybe Nigel hasent used up all the cycles in the compressor yet. Will be in town for another few days(leaving Friday with luck) with the restrictions on the government cage I drive at work can't drive out to see you but you are welcome to come in and get a Black and Tan on me. LOL Doc

Let me see what I can work out with the wife. What times are you usually finished for the day? Gov't must be tight on ya if you cant get outside of Greenwood. I dont drink, but wouldnt mind meeting up somewhere if I can get free myself.

Rules on Gov Vehicles are very tight, usually finished by 4Pm free after that. PM me for my phone # if you have lost it. I'm up for anything but the english pub is walking distance so no drinking and driving a gov vehicle. Verboten!! Any who would love to see you and the better half tomorrow night will be my last night in Greenwood for a while. LOL Doc

Found a BBQ place across from the break but it dosen't look very busy. We can try it if you want or any other just let me know.

Back to the Swamps

Thanks for all the input found some wonderfull places to hang my hat, and a great cheese burger and onion rings. Wish I could have met up with some of the upstate bunch but like the fabel, the oxen are slow but the earth is patient, and so am I. will catch up with you all down the road. Next week back in the swampland, working in sumter SC and living at home in Charleston now that is a change. LOL Doc

P.S. the bbq across near the holiday Inn and across from the break, is not very good must have been another place.

Sorry I couldnt make it down there. Sorry to heasr the BBQ wasnt any good. If it was my choice I would go for Kickers first.
