Low cost trailer nose box alternative (3 Viewers)

I picked this up today at my local Harbor Freight. $69.99.

It's not a huge box, but it has enough room for my Optima Yellow Top, inverter, and onboard battery charger.

I will be adding a piece of plywood to strengthen up the floor b/c the Optima is heavy as heck.

Overall dimensions: 12" L x 35" W x 12-1/8" H

It's either 16 or 18 gauge. I don't think they'd work well in that manner, but if you would support it from the floor, then it might work. Are you thinking of using it as a side box over the wheel wells like AT? Just go to HF and check it out in person to see if it will work for you.

How would those work in the cold? Will they freeze and crack? The Contica (sp) boxes we used to use worked great. When it hit 30 degrees they would become to brittle and break apart.
