LX470rhetoric: what lc are you running (lc or lexus)?
PSA: seems that mr stern is the guru. I reached out to him w/r to my 100's poor illumincation. Looks like the gist of the of (my) problems is that the refelctive coating is known to fail due to age. In fact, one can't even see the failure starting using the naked eye.I consulted and purchased through Daniel Stern.

Can you tell us what you are seeing that constitutes the “serious reflector damage”?PSA: seems that mr stern is the guru. I reached out to him w/r to my 100's poor illumincation. If anyone cares to reach out to him for verification and permision for me to post, I will gladely post his response in quotatons.
Bottom line, even the new "hight tech" bulbs or aftermarkent housings w. perceived new reflectors won't match new oem housing output. Note that those oem housings are $300+ per side. I'm in a self debate on this solution as a) I can see serious reflector damage on my "original" housings, b) have a pair of "russian" sourced new housings (that's another story) with "good" reflectors that I may swap over to my existing housings (did I say that's another looooong story).
as usual, that's not my story and I'm not stickin' to it.
all the above. I'll take a pic and post here. Can you tell us what you are seeing that constitutes the “serious reflector damage”?
Is the mirrored coating peeling or flaking off of the back reflector of the assembly? Is it something with the little secondary reflectors that cover the front of the bulbs?
Low beams, right? How's the cut off? It'll be appreciated if you can post a pic in front of a wall just to see how they behave in the stock LC reflector, thanks in advance!I got the SL2s in January and have been very happy with them so far in my LC. They have an LX option but it looks a bit different so can’t comment

Thanks for that! Not bad at all! All LEDs I’ve seen in halogen designed housings reflect a blob of round light all over the place without any way to align. This is much better.Far from perfect cutoff but big improvement in usability. The halogen bulb cut off wasn’t much better honestly as I remember.
