Lotsa 80's in the latest Toyota Trails

Less than tech topic....
Anyone else had chance to see the latest Toyota Trails mag? I recognized some of the rigs from folks in the 80 forum.....Christo, Robbie, Eric. Who else? Most of the articles were about 80 series. Even an article about how to survive the Rubicon in an 80 - think we're taking over?

I hope you are getting more than 4 Toyota Trails a year. They are supposed to go out every other month, not quarterly.

Lots of Wagons in this issue. I liked the Outside the Box section on Podvin's creations. The 80s on the con article was pretty good but it also bummed me out as I haven't been able to hit that trail yet.

As for taking over, maybe? At Wednesday's NW Cruiser meeting there were 3 80s, 2 40s, and a 55. The other folks drove their beaters. One of those 2 40 owners is definitely convertible to an 80 and the 55 guy already has an 80 too. Check out the numbers in the CM section, very interesting. I would like to see numbers from say 1999 and compare to today.

I was on the 80s Rubicon run last year -- it was a great time. We have another one scheduled this August (12th through 15th) -- if anyone's interested in joining us.

The 80's are taking over.. and if wheeling in an 80 is wrong then I don't wanna be right!

The newest trails is great too, especially the cover shot that was taken by a fellow RS member.. now that's cool.

All I really know is that it isn't frequent enough!
