Second owner, purchased in 2014 with 88k miles from an estate. Most of the miles were highway getting to destinations, but it has seen some dirt.

I’ve been very happy with this truck, not sure I want to part with it, but I purchased a new one. It has served as an adventure-mobile for my wife and I for nearly 10 years. I’ve done a lot of proactive upkeep on it but generally it has been worry free and has never failed us. Bottom line, as most of you know, this truck’s a beast. It’s been off road, sadly never used the snorkel, and through many a snow storm on our way to Mammoth to catch some fresh Sierra Cement. Alignment is true, OME suspension is tight, and it runs down the highway straight.

That little puddle is air-con condensation. :)

Add-ons:
  • OME 1.5" Medium-duty lift (medium springs in back)
  • OME Torsion Bars
  • BFG MT’s - 285/70R17 (maybe 10-15k miles on them)
  • American Racing aluminum wheels
  • ARB 4x4 Front Bumper with 12000lb TJM Winch
  • ARB 4x4 Rear bumper with jerry can holder and full size spare (ProComp)
  • Safari Snorkel with K&N filter
  • Kenwood BT Head unit with front and rear (back-up) cameras, BT microphone and interior compact antenna.
  • All OME, bumper and snorkel work done by Dirty Parts in LA, CA
The Good:
  • Own it free and clear. Clean Title under my name.
  • All OEM Parts, save the add-ons and new keys.
  • Replaced water pump, timing belt and serp belt around 95k
  • Replaced lower front CV joint assemblies (twice), lower front control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, other bushings.
  • Replaced rack and pinion steering120k
  • Replaced all brake pads around 110k
  • Replaced transmission gasket and filter (with full fluid flush)
  • Replaced valve cover gaskets
  • Replaced spark plugs 2019
  • Replaced all ignition coils 2017
  • Replaced drivers door lock actuators
  • Coded 3 third party keys with 20 hit combos for unlock and ignition (for all keys - all work)
  • Still have original master key
  • Functional rear jump seats (see note below)
  • All switches, buttons, electronics are working (including seat heat, side windows, etc)
  • Air Conditioning is like the polar ice cap, Heat like the Sahara. Thermostat works great.
  • Prior owner put on beefier exhaust - no idea what kind.
  • Valvoline Synthetic oil every 5k +/- miles
  • Differentials drained and cleaned in 2020
  • Radiator fluid flush every couple years
  • All other various fluids are filled, checked or flushed every 5k miles at a Valvoline shop.
  • Full fuel system service at Toyota of Santa Monica in 2019
  • 2016 O2 Sensors
  • 2016 MAI clean
  • 2016 new U Joints
  • 3/2017 Steering Rack and bushing
  • 9/2017 Valvoline Transmission flush
  • 11/2017 brighter headlight bulbs installed
  • 11/2017 Toyota Santa Monica Front Brake pads @123,150k
  • 11/2017 Toyota Santa Monica Rear Brake pads @123,150k
  • 11/2017 Toyota Santa Monica Rear Brake rotors @123,150k
  • 11/2017 Toyota Santa Monica Front L and R wheel bearings repacked @123,150k
  • 11/2017 Toyota Santa Monica Brake Flush @123,150k
  • 11/2017 Toyota Santa Monica Drive belt and tensioner @123,150k
  • No rips in seats, treated with leather conditioner from time to time.

The not great:
  • Drink holder plastic flip cover in center console screws fell out, haven’t fixed it, but spring loaded hinge is still functional and all pieces (except screws) are there. I don't have the time to rip the center console up to put it back together.
  • Lost the rear wind deflector. Mounts still in place.
  • Battery died over the pandemic due to infrequent use. Put it on a charger and it is okay. Was new in 2021 (Die hard). I have a solar trickle charger on it now that seems to work great. You can take it.
  • Left rear jump seat release handle got smashed, stuck a zip tie on the cord so it’s still functional but it’s a little janky.
  • All of the little dings, dents and plastic fatigue you'd expect to find on a truck of this age
  • Always gets a smog notice with yearly registration, but always passes on first try
  • Had two high-light jacks stolen so I haven't put another on it.
  • Didn’t do my best keeping all service records -

More adventure - I didn't end up crossing that stream, just a toe into it... Better judgement prevailed.

Beautiful rig @Yeeeeeeha.

Has it had any frame work done?

Good luck with the sale. Wish I was ready!

Also, I really like your pics! I love LC action photos. I may pin some of them on my Pinterest board if that's ok.

No frame work.

Toyota Santa Monica just did a pre-sale inspection. Replaced gaskets for both differentials but otherwise clean bill of health.

I have a potential buyer having it inspected tomorrow.

I'm extremely interested in this truck. Please contact me when you have a moment. Ready to move if everything checks out (inspection wise - hope that's fair). If you want my cell LMK.
