Looking for Some Metal Scrap

I am in need of some long pieces of scrap to make a tire rack with. I would think square tube, C channel, just about anything would work. Anything with longer pieces.

Have you tried looking in the drops at BMG or Arlington Iron? BMGs prices aren't bad even if you buy a full stick.

I've got some 6" Channel let me know what length you need ill look. I have some plate from a fire pump but it would take some cutting. Ill take a pick Monday when I get home.

Bring cash when you go to BMG. You can negotiate too. They sell the drops by the weight.

I appreciate it Chris, but I am afraid that would be horribly heavy. I think I may just run by BMG and see what some small square tube would cost.

It would be on the heavy side. A nice bent tube bumper with a swing out carrier would be nice.

Along the lines of this topic, I am having a hell of a time finding a steel supplier in the area. Are the two mention here the only real suppliers around?
