Second and third row for Land Cruiser are now available. I will be ordering both the front and second row for my Land Cruiser. Has anyone used their leather seats for the Land Cruiser grey interior? I am planning to order a set with "Dim Grey" color.

Confirmed. Dim Grey is the color you want.

I know there is a price difference, but the Landcruiser Heaven leather is 2nd to none in the quality department. Just a thought. Not worth it to everyone, if your goal is to spend a little less, but it seems to me you are getting what you pay for in this scenario.

Ill try to post up a picture of my @FloridaFJ80 leather tomorrow. I finally got around to installing it after sitting in a box for 6 months. Top notch, very good quality stuff.

Doesn't look like land cruiser heaven has any leather in stock. Mentioned on the home page but not available in the store section.

Did you ever order the Dim Grey? @lumbee1 do you have any photos of it installed?

I haven't purchased yet. The dim grey sample matched my leather almost perfectly. My focus right now is on finishing my 4x4 labs bumper and looking for a fridge.

I have finally finished reading this entire thread....and I've ordered a front row from Lseat.com in Brown w/ dim grey stitching. We shall see...

I hope you're happy with it. Please let us know how it turns out. Those of us on the fence or waiting for funds to come available appreciate all of the feedback we can get.

I just had my lseat covers put in professionally. They quoted me 10 hours of labor to do the work. I typically do all of my own work, but with my work schedule, 2 land cruiser projects, and a Supra project, I decided to pay a pro to do this.

It ended up taking them 32 hours to do this install. They were not happy with the covers and had to do quite a bit of restitching on them, which meant putting on the covers and taking them back off again. I had read mostly good things on these covers so I was surprised at the problems they had. Needless to say I'm glad I didn't do this job myself.

Interesting that we haven't heard that before. Do you know what areas had to be re-stitched? Now that they are on, how do they look? Are you satisfied with the end result?

i hope you didn't buy land cruiser leather for your LX

i didn't have any issues with fitment on mine...

either way i think lseat would have probably worked with you on that

Great thread to follow.
I haven't seen a direct comparison of LC Heaven to Lseat in color. However, I think I'm going to go forward with Lseat dim grey on the back seats which dont see much use & LC Heaven on the fronts for higher use & arguably higher quality. I'll be waiting for warmer weather to work the leather on since I plan on installing myself. I'll be sure to post up images for reference!

-Happy Holidays

I'm dropping the LX off today to get the leather installed. Pics in a day or two. It's the only project on the truck I'm not tackling myself, so I'm a little nervous. I'm leaving it with a shop that does a lot of work for my dealership and I haven't seen any issues. Lseat brown, here we go.

If Shane / Metric is still willing to work with you - his covers are the best in the business. I don't have the fxxxing time to read the whole thread, so that's it in a nut-shell. If he's not - good luck.

A lot has changed with Shane / Metric. He seemed like a stand up guy but finished his business relationship with MUD members by taking a bunch of money and then disappearing. Avoid Shane / Metric TLC at all costs.

Ouch - that hurts. Guess he won't be around any longer and for good reason. It's a damn shame when people get to that point in life, but it does happen. Not just in this business, but many others. Sometimes the reasons are valid, sometimes it's because people have personal issues to deal with, sometimes it's just plain failure to be able to manage finances.

If you are into the gun thing avoid Mike Klos like the plague. Also Scott Womack - a cop in Panama City FL that let a guy named Gary / Trip Whitlow go to Federal Prison for ten years while they were both involved in illegal machine gun manufacture and possession. Just a tip. Now Womack is a cop, Whitlow is ruined. Also a guy named Tom Bowers who is a user of the highest order. Avoid him as well.

Fortunately we don't have people like that on this board - same thing - except these guys violate federal laws and take your money.

So - in retrospect compare Shane. He just ran out of materials, money and hope.

Got the front seats done. Great color. 85-90% good fit on a new seat bottom cushion (driver side is the only one I could find). They had to modify and add foam for DS back cushion and PS bottom and back, those were 75%. I'll wrench on anything (not always successfully)...I'd say I'm a solid 2:banana: mechanic. I'm very glad I had my upholstery guy take care of it, however. Got seat heaters in the deal too! Overall I'm very happy with the feel and look of the Lseat covers.

My upholstery guy said the leather quality is great, but the leather is much thicker than most aftermarket leather. This accounted for some of the difficulty because they wouldn't heat up as well to smooth out or flex.

Additionally, the hole for the power seat control didn't fit quite right and the thick leather was messing with the power adjustable seat control s. Not really a big deal after some adjustments.

Overall I'm very satisfied with the seats. For the price, you can't beat em. 9/10.

Hope this helps inform you all in your search for leather seats. I only have a few pics texted to me during the install. I'll get more soon of them in.

Also I have to get more of the same color leather for the doors...I love the brown.

I'll just reiterate that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Katzkin seats. 100% leather and they feel great! Had all three rows recovered and even did the upgrade to the 40th two/tone. Looks so sharp against the door panels. They're fantastic quality. Highly recommended.

I was told that Katzkin no longer carried the pattern for the 80 series Land Cruiser.
