looking for new rims and tires ....no spacers !

I would search Facebook marketplace and craigslist for tundra wheels and tires that’ll fit. I just installed 18” tundra wheels and some 275/65/r18 tires bought from a fellow mud member for $1100 all in. Love how they look.

Also call Toyota dealers and ask if they have any take offs

I did just this yesterday on my way home and sure enough they had a new take-off set on the Service Dept. floor. I think I got a great deal, tires alone are worth more than I paid, went from a 275/55/20 to a 275/65/18 so pretty much exactly the same Diameter, 32". Completely transforms the look of the LX for the better, no more flaking Chrome wheels ! The chromes were on it when I bought it last year.

$929 for the set from dealer, then took to Discount Tire to get them mounted and my TPMS moved from old wheels to these, could've added new TPMS for $100, but decided not to, also added Road Hazard and Lifetime balance & rotation, that was about $300 so in total about $1250.

Volks if you have money, Rock Warriors or those new TRD BBS 18s if you don't. Starting to see the new TRD BBS wheels for around 2k for a set brand new takeoffs with tires on the bay. They go quick at that price.

I'll always try to run the smallest wheel that will fit, that's why I like the Rock Warriors. They are half or less the price of the BBS wheels and also forged construction. I would've considered running a set of LX 470/LC 16" wheels if they cleared the brake caliper.

I assume everyone runs spacers due to tire width? I would like to run a factory tundra/LC wheel if possible. (i'm cheap) I would like to run a 33-34 " tire but I DON"T want to use spacers.. couldn't I just run a real skinny tire?

There are two reasons to run spacers or lessen the offset. One is to adjust for scrub radius, which for tires that practically fit (thru 35"), goes to about 40mm. After that, spacers or less offset are for more poke or very wide tires that rub ( greater than 295s) to lessen the rub at usual angles.

Geometry changes from lift and suspension often leads to significantly different fit profiles. There is no one size fits all solution unless you're going with 33" or less and relatively narrow, like a 285.

no one running the Rock warriors are using spacers. At least I am 99% sure. Not sure why you would think everyone is using them.

did not know that... good to know! I plan to run 2-3" lift FYI.. seems most stock tundra and LC wheels are close in BS and Offset...

Yeah. Definitely makes them a very attractive option in my mind. Like you, wanted to avoid spacers. I wanted 17" for maximum side wall, so the decision for rock warriors was pretty easy.

Those with 35x12.5 and rock warriors are certainly running g spacers, have a lift, have a KDSS relo kit, and have ucas.

That 50mm offset works great for a 33" tire.

Not all 17" fit. There's a post running around with many options, sadly no available steel ones.

i decide to stay with stock wheels , and going with nitto terra grappler G2 .Now ..what size ?
285-50-20
295-50-20
305-50-20 ?????

ditto terra grappler G2 , 285 /50 /20
loud , hard tires , looks good , will be helpful in winter .
first 100 miles on highway was very loud , later tires did quiet down .
do not like them .....next time ....michelins off course :frown:
