I think the "tow package" for that year 80 consisted of a tow hitch.

I am pretty sure they all have a tranny cooler. You will have to get yourself some trailer wiring. I used the Hopey harness and installed it in about 15 min., it is plug and play.

You should be able to find a hitch from free to pretty cheap, I gave mine away a while ago. If you wheel you may want to look for the one that has the doesn't hang down as low. I think it is the drawtite.

The valley hitch mounts the receiver below the hitch cross bar.

If they all have a transmission cooler, that will make me one happy man. Have the wiring already and trying to line a hitch up now.

There is a small cooler that is about 6" x 8" that is right beside the driver's side headlight behind the grill. That is your transmission cooler. I am pretty sure they all had it.

It is the one on the right hand side in this picture.

This guy is putting the same one on the left to cool his power steering fluid.

Good news on the transmission cooler. I think I'll wait on the power steering cooler. Unless my wife feels the need to build her baby hauler, I don't see one in the near future :)

I thought for sure that Iron Pig would have a hitch laying around, but alas it looks like I may be buying a new one.

didn't Jesse have one?

Put a big ol feeler out to some of the other lists of people that will be attending the Fall Crawl - you might be able to pick one up pretty easy.

I'd have one for an 80, but those things are just sissy wagons. :grinpimp:

Well, it's wife's truck, and I'd call her a sissy but I'm afraid she would beat me up :)

Hitch found! Located at a garage in Warrenton. Towing days ahead for the beautiful camping weather over the next few months.
