I’m getting ready to cut some door panels for my ‘89 FJ62 and was wondering what exposed fasteners folks have found to work? I’m going to use solid 1/4” material and exposed fasteners would add to the look. These panels won’t wrap up to the window opening.

Thoughts?

Thx
BK

For screws there are several different types of finish washers or countersink washers that would work and look good with countersink screws. Button or dome head screws. Rivnuts in the door.
There’s also a ton of different plastic push pin type of fasteners.
I’ve never done what you’re doing but if I did I would use screws.

Thx for this-I’m hoping for a push-and-turn fastener that fits in the existing factory holes for the OEM push clips. Was hoping someone had found some that works so I’m not drilling new holes in the truck. Holoes are 8mm
