I will probably be up in the area of Kinder Crossing and would stop by. Just a heads up on gas. The gas station at Clint's Well has been iffy at best. He was having problems with the pumps a few months back then lately he has been running out of gas. Mother's Day at 8:00 AM he was limiting sales to $10.00 (less than three gallons). By 9:00 AM he was out of gas. Two weeks later I stopped by at 8:00 AM Sunday and he was out again. Last Sunday when I drove by in the afternoon there was plenty of traffic but no one at the pumps. Lately I have been hauling gas up from the valley when I have my 1/4 trailer to be sure I have fuel in my vehicles I keep up there.

Think I'm heading up to Flagstaff for camping and the Widespread Panic concert. Should be epic!!

Phil,
Just sent Murf a part's request. If it comes in by Friday me and the kids will join in if there is water involved!

How far away is this? Is it just a day trip or an over nighter. I may be in. Have to check with the wife and her schedule.

Not sure if anyone is even going but I can tell you the place Phil is talking about is not far from where I go up there. From the southern part of Peoria It take just over two hours to get there. Would be closer from the east valley heading straight up 87. I go up I-17 then across 260 to get to 87.

Even from Scottsdale it is longer but faster going I-17/260 then 87. With 87 being shorter you have several towns you need to slow down for and the max speed limit on 87 is 65 with several slower section. I still go 87 for a more scenic drive even when going to flagstaff but mainly because I hate the way people drive on I-17.

Unfortunately I can't make this one...Too much stuff to do and then the Run of the month the following weekend. Yeah I know excuses, excuses. Kinder Crossing is a nice place...

Currently 72 up in Happy Jack. Storm coming in, headed out in a FJ40 to explore some forest service roads.

Update on gas at Clint's Well. Limited gas to $20 This morning until tanker arrives. Talked to Denise at the restaurant and this has been going on for months. He ran out Friday after the fourth and a lot people were upset.

He (gas situation at Clint Wells ) was an issue when coming back from the Overland Expo in May

65 Degrees right now. Been in the sixties for hours. Rain stopped a few hours ago. Left the area of Kinder Crossing around 4:00 PM. Lot of people in the area but didn't see Phil.

Ended up in New Mexico
Not a sole in sight, cool, and pristine
