Hi guys

I'm looking for a pair of volvo c303 portal diffs for my 80 series landcruiser.

Can any one point me in the right direction to find something in Australia??

OMT offroad in Germany is the only place I've been able to find them but I'm having a hard time contacting them.

And help would be appreciated.

Jay..

thanks for asking peter

yes I've seen bolt on portal axles from TIBUS offroad, also Marks adapters do portal axles conversions in Australia.

I've been thinking about just running a nissan GU patrol front diff and leaving the stock rear 80 diff and just buying marks portal axles.

Hi

You should be able to source some axles from Malaysia. They had the Volvo TGB/C30X too. When the Police dropped them, all the 6 X 6 would be scrapped, as it is illegal to own a 6 X 6 as a citizen i Malaysia...

Otherwise Sweden would be the place, a complete truck can be found for around 3,500 - 5,000 AUD.

Howcome I know of at least one guy from the malaysian Land Rover club who owns a 6x6 Defender using volvo portals if it's illegal to own one?

I'm just not able to find a single picture of the thing.... sigh...

I don't know man....

buying portals from halfway around the world!? Plus you can't gear them much, brake upgrades are expensive, how is it to get parts for them these days?

Why not just use Mogs or some of the hybrids available in the USA?

I know who you mean, but according to Cicak, who own a Volvo TGB in Malaysia: "The C304 is awesome but we are not allowed here to REGISTER a 6x6 as a CIVILIAN vehicle :( " I've done my research! ;p

Forgot about that .. Sure you can OWN it, but to REGISTER it would be a different matter alltogether.. Which is a shame really...
