i cant seem to find any aftermarket headlights on ebay... does anyone know of a sellers direct website address?

do you mean for replacment of the stock ones or extra driving / off road lights?

there are tons of the off road lights but very few of the replacment lights that are of decent quality.

If you search for aftermerket lights here you will get many good threads debating the few aftermarket "upgrade" lights.

You might also consider Slees upgraded harness if you just want more power out of your existing lights.

i have the slee harness, but broke a lens last month. for less then cost of one new lens and marker light i can get a set of aftermarket halogen lights.

i just cant find any suppliers

I am also looking for a website of the producer or any seller of the aftermarket headlights, the blingy ones, with those stupid white light rings.

I simply can't make a deal with the Ebay sellers for some unknown reason. I tell them that I will buy the lights but ask them to send them by USPS as it is cheaper and I don't mind waiting a bit longer (I am already waiting 6 months for any price or shipping drop). They say that they use only FedEx. I reply that it should not matter to them if they send it by USPS. They reply nothing...

So any other headlight source would be a great deal for me. On ebay it's $150 for the lights and $148 (!!!) shipping. They've gone crazy...

Check out " Daniel Stern lighting.com" I got my high beams from him and they are great. MikePL, I would say don't waste your money on bling.

> I was looking for replace high beam bulbs (9005) for my Landcruiser FZJ80.
> I was recommended to get High beam new: HIR1, 12.8V, 65W, 2530 lumens.

Yep, that's the one to get! HIR1/9011. Direct order link is here:
http://store.candlepower.com/hirlighting.html (can also improve the low beams with the HIR2 (9012))

Can also make your brake and front / rear turn signal lamps 40% brighter for $7.10/bulb, http://store.candlepower.com/taillights.html

your reversing/backup lamps 100% brighter for $8.20/bulb, http://store.candlepower.com/reli.htmlhttp://store.candlepower.com/reli.html

and your front and rear sidemarker lights 60% brighter for $4.24/bulb, http://store.candlepower.com/2886x.html

Ebay sellers are making money on the shipping too. That's why they don't want to ship via your terms. Do you really think it costs them $45 to ship? Its all part of the profit. Ebay does not charge commissions on shipping fees, so its common for sellers to jack them up within reason.

They will bust you if someone turns in your auction for exhorbitant shipping charges, however. In this case it is elevated but not exhorbitant. The box size is pretty large. Actually, it may even be too large for USPS now that I think about it.

I think that the truth lies somewhere in between. They charge me around $140 for shipping as I am outside the US. But when I checked through FedEx, the price was really around that amount. So maybe they have some discounts. I wonder why Ebay can't take any action.
Do you say that USPS has some limitations when it comes to package size?

im still looking to try and find a website of a dealer ..... canada isnt shipping international..

anyone know of any websites to find aftermarket lights?

USPS definitely has limitations on weight and size. I believe the weight limit for international shipments is 70lbs. There is also a dimensional limit based upon length x width x girth...I don't know the exact formula. If you snoop around on their site, I'm sure you can find it.

Good luck getting them to budge on price. Try to find one that is listed as "best offer" for your highest chance of making that happen.

I'm not sure what your issue is :confused: ?? The word context in both of your posts is very, uhhh...Canadian?

If you go to ebay and search for "toyota projector", they are all over the place and they will ship to Canada.
