Hi All, I have been eyeing a 2015 Lexus 570 which has lived most of its life in CA and AZ. It has 127k miles on it. Just got a PPI done by a Lexus dealership and they had some findings. Note I am out of state so won't be able to see it in person but have seen videos and pictures at least.

1. DIAGNOSE AND REPLACE 1 SERVO, .5 FOR EACH
ADDITIONAL SERVO (AC CODE B1448)

Looks like techstream is throwing this code but as per everyone heating and cooling is working fine. This apparently can get expensive, as my understanding is that replacing all servos themselves may not solve this problem

2. NEEDS FURTHER DIAGNOSIS. (FRESH AIR Door NOT CONNECTED)
This was a weird one. They couldn't verify what was going on as it would have meant opening up the dashboard. Worst case here could be that the evaporator core needs to be replaced?

The rest of the issues are around AC coolant levels low and brake fluid change recommendations. Radiator is new, and no sign of valley plate leak yet.

Any red flags above? I doubt the dealer will budge on giving me additional reduction on price. They already reduced it to cover for a broken seat belt. There could be a 12 month after market warranty available but not sure yet if it will cover the servos related issue.

2) recirc door side part is broken - if a PPi lexus dealer dont know what that is - it is the dumbest PPI in the world and I wouldn’t trust those idiots with a big mac order much less a car

coolant low withiut a VP leak is head gasket or bad water pump

What is it going to cost to fix the recirc door side part?

I wonder if the coolant is low because of a new radiator.. Not sure when it was put in place.

No clue how bad a head gasket issue is lol

imho I would not trust this PPi

Find another Lx - they are dime a dozen compared to LC

Breakage of the RECIRC/FRESH change door mechanism is so common it might have even been done by that dealer during the PPI. There is a simple and inexpensive fix available from a member on here. Dealer repair of that requires removal of the dash for megabucks. It’s possible the broken mechanism is causing the servo code. Odd things happen to the HVAC system when that change door is broken. There is also a reset procedure for the HVAC servos that needs to be tried before any replacement work.

It’s possible the coolant level wasn’t set right when the radiator was replaced. However, I would carefully look into the events around the replacement. In some instances, if the radiator crack is not noticed in time, the engine may overheat and that’s bad.
