3/4" hardwood ply on the floor. 1/2" hardwood on the sides. 4 big "bins" with lift off covers, CO2 mount, 2 pelican tool box mounts, slide out for the fridge and primed and sealed.

I wish I could say I made this but I did help. I am not even a good helper but the design was mine. Took around 15 hrs to make and cost around $200.

Looks slick all painted up

I see you turned the fridge around. Looks better painted. How about a pic of the rack on the cruiser?

Looks nice, is there a way to secure the top of those bins, in case of rollover/accident?

Looks very functional, David. Not sure about carrying a CO2 cylinder inside, tho'.

Did you remove the rear seats?

I think my head will stop the wood from hitting the windshield so we should be good. I now have tie downs but the fit is very tight.

Rear seats are long gone. No one wants to ride with me except my dog. I even want to remove the passenger seat. Plenty of room for a keg there.

Yeah the wood is heavy. So what? The beast is already super heavy what are a few more pounds? The rear seat weighs a bunch and it is long gone.

Of all the crap I worry about Co2 inside the truck is slightly lower on the list than naked clowns. I also keep a tank of 65/35 gas for the welder in the truck. If I put the CO2 on the back end it is just a matter of time until it explodes.

Is the fridge on a slide?

I love this thread!

Anyone have any good pics of what they have done with the back (inside) area of thier 60/62.

I am looking for good ideas so that I can attempt to fill my insatiable need to mess with things that more than likely should just be left alone.

Didn't make it myself, but well worth the cost, IMHO.

I got one of these drawers (see pics starting at post #11).

Beautiful workmanship and set up Doug, but how do you hold additional gear down and in place?
additional gear? what more do I need? :D

Jeff (the guy who makes the drawers) has a tie-down system that he sells which will allows for strapping stuff down onto the boxes. I might pick that up from him -- it's Core-Trax, IIRC (a quick google will turn up pics).

I haven't taken the rig on anything requiring tie-downs since I put that in there, but I have a milford cargo barrier that I'll be installing soon -- definitely before my next serious trip. That'll keep stuff from hitting my head.

As it stands now, the drawer is large enough to hold my tools, some smaller trail spare items, and some other crap (fluids, grease, cleaners, etc.). All I forsee needing to bring on a multi-day trip would be clothes, air mattress, tent (maybe), and my "kitchen box".

Why not, we all do.
I've only seen one person (Christo) who didn't carry the CO2 inside...how else are you going to do drive-by potato-gun shootings? :D

Nice work with the compartments...

Ok, sorry about ressurecting the dead, but somwhow I ended up with this thread, so there must be a reason, right?

So, why would you need to carry Co2?

Not trying to bash, just trying to learn something new here:)

Thanks
