Man I'm lazy, after two months I finally put the T-case shifter back in. Anyway I want a longer shifter. Has anyone got pictures of how they extended the thing ? I was thinking about cutting the rod part off and drilling into the square block than weld in a new rod , bend and thread for the knob. Would it be strong enough or is it likely to break at the weld ?

I'm gonna say it depends on your weld. Weld it right, it'll hold and then some. ;)

Hell everyone is hung up on a "longer one", make it thicker, too.
