Has anyone fabricated their own? Have design docs they would share? Guidelines (size/dimensions, baffle spacing, material, etc.)?

The spare has already been removed.

I know there some aftermarket (man-a-fre) however I was hoping to make it a project. Thanks in advance!

Sometimes it is easier to find a tank which is from another vehicle, yet fits in the space in a given rig. Not sure if you have an 80, but the 80 section has had a number of threads about both OEM and non-OEM solutions. I went with a factory setup on mine, and enjoy hitting the transfer button to fill-up while rolling down the road.

Thanks for the replies... It's an FJ60 with a diesel conversion... I'll look into some ideas over there....

I made a 250L (66 Gallon) tank for my 40 series.
However it is extended by 45cm and a bit higher than the standard cruiser so clearance wasn't a problem.

I do however have a mockup somewhere of about 80L aux tank to fit inbetween the rear bumper and the crossmember that is over the rear axle if you are interested..
