Yet another option, although more expensive...

Here's a picture of mine. Turned out really nice and matches my stock front seats.

Also, these are infinitely safer than most other options, in my opinion.

I have a bunch more pics if you want them. I need to buy a silver star and learn how to attach photos but can email them also.

1. That seat looks AWESOME!

2. From what I can see on the website link you provided [thanks for that as well] I would also agree that it looks to be superior as far as safety goes.

3. Lots of people are going to hopefully find this thread in the future when they go looking for info on REAR SEAT OPTIONS and it would help immensely if you'd give the good folks here an idea of what one of these babies costs in 2008 dollars.

It's :o to admit how much I paid (for everything on and in my cruiser, especially the vehicle itself) but it was in the $900 range.

If you take a look at the seat they offer for the 4-door wrangler, it's pretty similar to that and the price they quote is $952 for the deluxe version with all belts, etc. included.

The good news is, they will buy them back if you ever want to get rid of it.

Keep in mind, this really is a "littleseat". It's tiny. I can sit in it comfortably around town but any distance and it wouldn't be much fun for an adult.

I have small kids as well. I have the stock short jump seats in the back with the factory lap belts. I never let my kids ride back there if my route takes me on the highway---only tooling around town. I am a big fan of OEM setups, especially on rigs which are as nice as yours.

This was a concern for me as well (my daughter is 18months).

Regardless of the quality of any seat, jump or otherwise, I wouldn't put my children in anything that didn't face forward. There are the safety concerns as mentioned above and on top of that, carsickness that would ensue from sitting over a wheel of a 40 year old 4v4 and not looking the direction you are going.

The Ironpig seat looks great, but I think I will just find one of the various TJ/Tracker/Montero/minivan options as mentioned in the FAQ's for rear seats.

Junkyard + re-upholstery + seatbelts + having LATCH brackets welded to floor = still considerably less $ than new seat and IMO, you will be just as safe. More money to go towards family roll cage...

Right now I run a pair of PRP preteen seats in the back of my Fj40 for my 2 kids. The kids will be out growing them in another year or 2 and i was checking out what my next options will be.
Love those Rover seats. I see CCOT also has a rear fold and tumble seat now Images
Similar to the little seats in the other post. IPOR is amore affordable and don't appear to take up as much room when folded up.
