I was wondering if anybody has ever felt the need to rig up there cruiser to allow the factory diff. locks to lock up while wheelin in 4High ( after doing the ctr diff. lock in 4High mod). I was just wondering because my bro and I just did it to his 05 bubycon. He could even lock up his rear diff. in 2 wheel drive know! Anybody out there done anything like this to their cruiser, is there even any situations out there that you would encounter when wheelin were you would have an advantage wheelin in 4high with diffs locked (obviuosly at a slow speed, I know it is a bitch to sterr.) Maybe snow?

I can lock my diffs in 4hi and I know alot of others can as well. Might work ok while mud bogging, but hey at 6000 lbs these things are pretty poor at spinning across the mud.
Cheers,
Sean

I like to wheel in hi with a rear locker a lot. Thats one reason I am insalling ARB's rather than factory retrofit. In my 4Runner I had a detroit and did a LOT of wheeling in 2 hi and it really helped me have more fun on easy trails, and I did the same thing with my taco with factory locker.

I can run all locked up in HI. In REAL low traction situations I prefer it as I don't get as much torque to the wheels. Low can be a bit abrupt, even with 2nd start engaged.

With the pin-7 mod and the CDL switch you can run either CDL, CDL and RDL, or all locked in either Hi or Lo

I think the real mod question here is to lock up the fr or rr elec lockers while NOT engaging the CDL. This can be done. Do a search as several have done this.

Yeah I have this same question. What should I type in the search to find it? Cause if you don't need the switch than why would people buy it?
