Hello!

Could someone inform me on where the 13B-T gets oil for the turbo, and where it is returned?

Thanks!

Hi, if someone could please post pictures of where the input and output oil lines to the turbo on a 13BT goes, I would be thankful!

Also where the water lines branch off/on is interesting.

Im not familiar with them but have you looked here?

This looks promising,maybe:D

Thanks! But I suppose I need some help interperating those pictures also... Have been looking at similar pictures in my EPC without getting any good idea.

I am planning to route the return pipes to the oilpan, but maybe there is a more clever solution?

Where to take the oil from I don't know yet. Have read the FAQ's here about it, and have concluded to do it different than on e.g the AXT-kit. Maybe drill a hole in the oil cooler case?

I will maybe do that, sounds like a logical thing to do, thanks. I suppose it will not "steal" to much pressure from the rest of the system?

Have you tried this yourself? Anyone else?

My picture management software seems screwing up so I can not size and view new pictures taken, otherwise I would post up for you. If I get it figured I will do so. In the meantime check out https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?p=561134#post561134 as it lists the part number for a fitting that will work in the oil gallery plugs, and not require a t-fitting. Supply your turbo from the frontmost plugs, and supply your mechanical guages from the most rearward. Good choice in dumping into the pan. Dump in line where the oil pickup supports are.

Great, thank you! I hope to begin installing a Garrett T3 to my BJ75 next weekend. I have borrowed another car for two weeks, since the 75 is normally my daily driver.

By "Dump in line where the oil pickup supports are", do you mean in line with where the supports for the oil strainer are?

i have done a few turbos like this, the oil pressure has not changed and the turbos have not died.
there is also a very small plug at the rear of the block that Greg stated and that works very well for the mechanical oil guage. well that is what i install to back up the elec should anything out of the ordinary happens...
i like to run both gauges

Good, then I trust this solution!

I disasembled my turbo today, and cleaned it. It feels tight.

Hi, have dismounted the manifoil and the filter holder today. But where on my engine are the oil gallery plugs? Somwhere on this picture?

Here are the 13BT oil supply and return lines. I don't think they are going to help your project much, however here they are.

Thanks a lot Greg! I will look for the oil supply plugs along that ridge, but on the other side of the oil cooler case.

I just delivered my manifoil and the exhaust housing of my turbo to a machine shop today. They will make me an adapter plate.

I am sorry for all my questions about this same thing. But is this the right spot to get oil for the turbo? It is the plug in the oil gallery which is closest to the front of my car. You can see that there is a hole there after I removed the plug.

Looks like it to me. If you really want to make sure, and can fire the truck, then put the plug back in, run it, then pull the plug after you have stopped it. Oil should come out the hole as it is not all drained into the pan yet.

Thank you!

But today I went to a shop to get a plug for that hole. It turned out the inner diameter of that plug will only be 4mm, which worries me since the inner diameter on the inlet on the turbo is 10mm. I fear there will not be enough oil coming out from the oil gallery to supply the turbo.
