Local resources needed.
I want to build remote control emu wings for my 100. Third row windows that flip up at the click of a button / remote. I have an idea on how they would work and would use existing glass and not change the interior hardly at all. And not costs $700 per side and disfigure the interior. I need a local metal fabricator to fab up the mounts and the window channel and the gas strut mount and how they would lock. That is the coolest feature they would be on a remote control and could be opened like a rear tailgate on newer trucks. The two window switches on the dash could release the windows as well so when you pull up to your activity, you hit the buttons and the wings are open before you get out of the truck. Instant access to fridge and gear without opening the rear hatch.
I also believe this system could be worked out for gx and 4runner and other SUVs with 3rd rows. Hard to believe the auto manufacturers have not figured this out.
Any club folks make stuff? Any ideas on who to talk too?
If we can get this built, we can sell to all 100/200/4Runners.
