LJ78 manual tranny woes. Help!

Well, here's a perfect example of the merits of this forum! Good luck with the instalation of your $5 part. I wonder what the shop guys would have charged for this fix.

i know a shop in town that has bragged in the past about selling a "rebuilt" tranny by just replacing the seat... they never even removed the tranny from the truck...poor customer...

Does anyone have the part number for the seat?

Unfortunately, I am unable to identify on the diagram..

I think that 33548-31010 is what you are looking for. It should be available at a local parts store, since it is the same as in V6 5-speed 4Runners and Pickups.
