yesturday i was on my hunting trip with my LJ 78 as i crossed a few mud pits about bumper height (with 4L engaged)as i was doing the first 1 the engine seemed to loose its power almost half way done as i pushed it further its response was zero(engine was running at 1000 rpm) and after 5 to 6 seconds the response came back and the acceleration was normal......a sound came from the engine fan as its chewing some thing hard and the engine seemed to be getting choked........faced the same problem with all the 3 pits..............as i reached home opened the hood found out that all the mud was on my engine and it seemed as the engine fan is the main culprit...........

nope, clutch fan, lets go with resistance. if it WAS the fan you would have no plastic blades left.

ask me how i know...

how??
..if i try to rotate it with engine not running its not movable...its jam or something like this...i think its adjustable or something like this......

LJ78 fans use silicone to cause resistance.
usually the fan blade section can be turned (while engine is off) by hand, as it wears it turns more and more easily...
unless someone has done a fixed fan modification...
but
unless they changed to a steel bladed unit the plastic will blow up long before it ever slows the engine down.

now i remember as i was having heat issue so the mechanic had to open up the fan do some mods and he told me that its jam now....and it will run with the engine speed...so should i bring it back to its original setting or leave it??
