limited slip in a 60?

I was wondering if a '87 FJ60 ever came with a limited slip rear end or locker from the factory? I've began wondering because everytime I get in the soft stuff both my rear wheels spin every time. I've never had another vehicle with an open diff do this. The PO didn't strike me as a guy who would have installed one.

If it had a factory locker, it would be evident from the cokcpit controls - button or lever. Could be that someone installed a LS in the rear....

Many countries got a LSD as standard but I dont think north american cruisers did.

If there are levers or something next to the center console then you have factory lockers. They didn't start limited slip in US until FJ80's I think

no US or Canadian fj60/2 came with a limited slip or lockers. Yes other markets did. PO might have installed a limited slip or Lock Right.

just jack the rear end up, you'll know in less than a minute what you have, just by spining the wheels.
