@woytovich i have been looking for one of those in 24V for a damn year.

If you don’t want it I’d be happy to buy it from ya.

I will continue to scour the earth for one in the meantime.

If I can get it to work I'll use it, otherwise I'll be fabricobbling together something to do the same job.

Does this mean you HAVE seen one that works as we think it should?

It is OEM on my HJ61 24V.
Starts beeping when key out and tail / pilot lights on and opening a door.
Of course also when headlights switched on.

THANK YOU! You are the first person I could find that can verify that this thing actually SHOULD do that. NOW I have to check the PO wiring "mods" to see why it's not working for me!:beer::beer:

Mark, I personally have not…which is why two University of Texas police officers had to push start me down a parking garage ramp one time…I have killed my batteries at least 3 times.

Like I said, failing getting this to work I'll be building this:

I used a standard air pressure warning buzzer from a 24v Scania truck to create the reminder funtion in my HJ60 .
Every truck has one ,so should be easy to find even in USA.

@sved I did not think to look at my HJ61! I bet I have one in there. I wonder if it’s the same part number…now I’ll have to go check.

Not the same number. allready checked.
Right hand side under the dash pad close to the speaker grid.

We might be talking about two different buzzers. I'm talking about the reverse beeper (not the light reminder). My reverse beeper was definitely by the left knee.

No, I'm talking about that. I thought I'd read it was mounted to the back of the cluster

Mines an 80...

My Light Reminder started working after l swapped 24v starter for 12v starter, which l thought was odd, but appreciated!

I'm confused... Is your truck a 24v truck?

1990 HDJ80. Whole system is 12v, with the exception of 24v starter. I deleted voltage convertor box and replaced starter. (I had a bad alternator, and it wouldve been wise to replace voltage convertor at same time, as they can burn your truck down. New starter was about same $$ as new convertor).

Had to delete a relay adjacent to clutch pedal (LHD) that caused all warning lights to stay on. And suddenly l had a light warning ding that didnt exist prior.

So... the truck came with a 12v system and a 12>24v converter in order to use a 24v starter stock?

1990 HDJ80. Deleted Voltage Convertor Relay. Forgive thread hijack rabbit hole...
I'm terrible at reading wiring diagrams but... is this two 12v batteries in parallel most of the time but in series for 24v (essentially) for running the starter?

Yes. Its a 12v, two-battery system, with a voltage convertor contraption and 24v starter. It cranks just as strong with 12v starter, and is minus one potential problem-maker having deleted voltage convertor.

The square black cover in bottom of pic (between fuse box and IP w one screw in it) is the voltage convertor that links to 24v starter.
