Lift gate struts rattling drives me nuts. What did you guys do?

That rattling is driving me nuts. Drove many miles over trails and rough roads, and it was just non-stop audible torture.

I'm missing the little curved washers, but when they were installed they didn't help much anyway.

I'm thinking about getting some of that foam pipe insulation, and cutting and wrapping a piece around the strut body so it fits snug when the liftgate is closed.

Other than that???

Mine don't rattle at all. Where do yours rattle at? I am kinda curious since mine are quiet. You could always try the hydraulic shocks from NAPA that have been posted up on here.

I removed the hardtop. Stopped the rattling right away...

head phone volume. or even better, turn up the radio.

seriously, i over jam the spacing with rubber. not foam rubber. straight rubber.
