Sale pending
I am selling a lhd PZJ75 Troopy,it is a 1990 with the 1PZ diesel engine. This is an ex overlander Cruiser with the Aussie long range fuel tank in the back,OME suspension,Safari snorkel,Cheetah roofrack and so on.It has 285 k km or roughly 180 k miles and engine runs very good and tranny shifts smoothly .Transfer case makes some noise but I will fix this before it leaves. All fluids have been changed and frame is solid which is very important on these older Troopys
I bought this in Europe last year and it was completely misrepresented to me,I have worked hard on it to get it where it is now and there are still many small details to be done on it before you can send the missus on a vacation with it.I have done about a 1000 miles with it running around town and taking it to the TLSC Cruiser meeting in Dallas which is a 150 mile trip for me.
The po had some bodywork done by a not so great bodyshop a few years ago and the result to that is that I have replaced both rockers with new ones and had to fix some rust issues under the windshield and under one of the rear side windows. The bodyshop also replaced the rear wheelwells and welded it to hot so I installed some bedliner on the sides to improve the looks.
Rust is no longer an issue but both rear doors have been worked on before and if I would keep this as a forever truck I would want to replace the doors with a pristine set,
This is a Cruiser for someone who will use it as a Cruiser and is not afraid of getting his/her hands dirty while doing some upgrades or repairs.
If your idea of owning a Troopy is spending a bunch of money on overlanding equipment to then drive it to Starsucks or Cars and Coffee to talk about your "overlander" this is not the Cruiser for you.
Now for what everyone wants to know PRICE is 16500$ RTT not included but roofrack is
Things that I have done to it in the past 6 months
-rust repairs
-rebuild front axle
-new oem windshield
-new oem sliding windows
-new oem fixed middle windows
-tires and wheels 285/75/16
-paint
and so on
It still needs
radio does not function
temp gauge stopped last week
headliner is missing
and a bunch of small things that will annoy the wrong person and will not be noticed by the right person
I think at this price it will make the right buyer very happy but it will piss off the wrong buyer seriously.
Anyway if you are looking for a pristine lhd troopy this is not the budget your truck fits in,if you want a solid base and don't mind setting the truck to your hand to have a good companion this is it.
