Install went very well. Hardest part was fighting with the sway bar and link to get it back in place.

I’m about to go get all terrains put on and this thing desperately needs a wider stance.

My question is, it seems that from Spidertrax, I can only get a 1.25” spacer but I don’t want to go that wide. I was thinking 3/4”, maybe 1” at the most. This would be with either a 285/60-18 or 295/70-18 if the /70 would fit.

So my question is, is there a reputable brand that offers less than 1.25” spacers?

if you do choose 3/4" you'll want to verify that the rims have a void behind where the studs will be, the rear wheel studs are longer than 3/4".

A lot of folks worry that 1.25” is too wide. It’s not. Especially if you’re going with 285 width tires. Anything less and you’re still too tucked into the fenders, and then what was the point of adding spacers?

Here is my truck last year with 275/70R18 on OEM wheels and 1.25” spacers. No rubbing at all and it brought the tires close to flush to the outside edge of the wheel wells.

Thanks for the insight. I have seen other folks say the same thing, that 1.25" actually ends up being perfect. I just had taken a tape measure to it and 1.25" looks like way too much. I'm probably missing something though. Just like how the leveling spacer works, it's only 10mm but works out to be 1" once all said and done.

Agreed that 1.25" has proven to work well with relatively narrower tires. No fitment issues and brings a nice flushness.

There's other parameters to consider however. Whether they're a priority or not, depends on the individual. Offset effects suspension geometry (scrub radius), which impacts handling, steering, cornering traction, potential longer term bearing durability, etc. It's also keyed to overall tire diameter. So those running smaller tires (ex 31-33") will see larger negative impacts to running more aggressive offset.

Once getting into really large and wide tires, offset can be even more critical to fitment.

Just saying it's not a blanket parameter of what works "best".

Bora sells spacers in 3/4" or 1". They actually build them to order, so you just tell them what you want and then wait a month or so for them to build them for you and ship them out. USA company. There are many spacers on amazon or ebay (actually, Bora sells on ebay too), but I wouldn't trust a bargain basement no-name made in China wheel spacer, personally. Spidertrax are also great if you prefer 1.25". I can personally attest to their strength in a scenario far beyond what they were designed for.
