Greetings:

I was tired of paying to have ours and our tennants lot plowed. I looked at used "beater" pickups and used plows. You get what you pay for, plus you have liscencing fees, property taxes, insurance, and maintenance as ongoing expenses. So I decided to have a rebuilt Western Ultra-mount plow put on. The custom mounting bracket is barely noticeable under Slee's bumper with the plow removed.

I need to get one of those. Oh wait...I live in Arizona.

Awesome. Lets get some in action video ...

That is why I live in Florida!

It looks like a stout set-up. How di d they brace the frame? Can it be removed quickly for summer?

That's the coolest snow plow machine I've ever seen !!!

That is bad ass! I have plowed with my f250 for years there is nothing better than a rig setup with a solid axle front. IFS systems seem to get gnarled up after awhile way to go!

Heavies are in the front with 22mm spacers to accomodate winch and bumper. Without the plow, I sit level. With plow lifted, the front end drops about an inch to 1-1/2". By no means is the stance "objectionable" in my opinion. This was a concern of mine before deciding to go ahead with the project.

Watch your tranny and brakes. Pushing snow will tax your tranny, and stopping all of that weight will run your brakes down. I drive an F350 dually snowplow at work during the winter, and have just had a new tranny put in last year at 65K miles. If you are only pushing small amounts, and not trying to stack it, you should be OK. Good luck.

Ha ha, 3sacrwd I was like what the hell... then I saw where you were. Just left Eau Claire/Lake Altoona area after visiting family yesterday morning early. Hit Buraboo for some rock climbing at Devil's Lake and stayed in the Dells over night. Left there this morning at 7 am and rolled back in to Wichita about an hour ago. Beautiful area... keep asking why I live in Kansas during the summer... winters here though are getting as bad as yours... may have to move. :).

You could take the whole family out plowing:steer:

Can you use it to push cars out of the way??? That would be handy here in Puerto Rico :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Now that is a snow pushing machine!

Any pics of the mounting set up?

No kidding, there's a cure for that problem. Put that rig on the road, when someone asks "what the hell is on the front of your truck," buy a house.:meh::rolleyes:

I may need to have you drive that plow about 125 miles to your west this winter Steve. ;)

I would worry about hitting something under the snow and blowing the airbags.
That might just ruin your whole morning.
Other than that, zowie, what a great mod!!! I want one too!
Wait, If I plow the road, other people will be able to get to the lifts before the plow runs.
I don't want one, it's a bad idea.

Looks good! I would never have thought I would need one here in Dallas but after the last 2 weeks, I am rethinking it.

I was just about to say you should head down to Dallas and plow some driveways. I'm sure someone with your set-up would do pretty well for Snowpocalypse 2011.
