I bet I’m not the only one that would be interested in more details.....

Odd Iron Off Road in Thomasville, Ga. fabricates the underhood lighting system as well as a full line of LED products for both interior and exterior applications. Unlike some underhood lighting systems, Odd Iron's version doesn't utilize a combination of bulbs and adhesive strips. In addition to a high quality wiring harness, they use Aurora rock lights that are both shock and water resistant. A kill switch is included with the kit and automatic activation (when the hood is raised) is also available as an option. Odd Iron's full line of products can be seen at www.oddironoffroad.com. The lighting system is designed for every Series of Land Cruiser and doesn't require mechanical knowledge to install. If your vehicle has a hood and a battery this kit will work. :)
Thanks for your interest.

As you can see on this 60 Series, output isn't an issue. :)
The kit is designed to eliminate "shadows" in the engine bay.

Best way to eliminate shadows is to have a long LED strip casting light down. Two spots will create shadows
The Aurora rock lights are not "spots" as demonstrated in the photo above. I'm in no way trying to argue one kit over the other. I'm simply pointing out another option. As with most accessories, it boils down to your particular needs and taste.

They may be floods but even then a light source that emits at many points over the length of 2’ will have less shadows than two lights on either end.

Whatever works though, any light is better than using a headlamp or flashlight in your mouth

I have one of YodaTEQ's light strips under the hood. I'll post up a pic, it looks a lot like yours! :)

I tossed in the new bulb and it actually looks slightly brighter than my 48x LED panel. At least I have 4x bulbs now and this one doesn't flicker.

I see the output limitation though. My son's Festoon bulbs are a full 1/2" longer. Not much room in my lamp housing. I'll check again when it's dark but just comparing the harsh shadow lines, it's clear they are a bit brighter. Seeing them side by side, the color is much less blue-white and more white. The color on my center console really looks different with these bulbs.

I'll be adding some more cabin lights in the back and may consider a couple stalk mounted LEDs up front. I've replaced the front manual map light with a super bright Red LED already. Makes life much easier up front if I need the light while on the road.

Which ever product meets your needs is the product you should purchase. Again, I was simply posting another
option for those that might be interested. :)
