Anyone have info on the modified LC's used on the trip to the North pole?

They haven't done a North pole excursion but they have crossed both Greenland and Antarctica as is shown in those links.

Yep, I really don't really care that much I guess.
The Cruisers you are talking about were used in Antarctica. You can't drive a rig to the north pole. It is all pack ice. Pressure ridges like huge stone walls form and slump away at random. SKiers and dog sleds can clamber over them Wheeled rigs can not.
IIRC the Cruisers that were taken to Antarctica didn't cross the continent it nor did they travel to the South Pole. Just played around some with much shorter trips closer to support locations.
