LC2008 NAV While Moving

I tried the LX470 hack and it doesnt work on the LC. I didn't tried the physical hack (wires), I tried the software maitence mode hack.
I am planning on having the wire hack done soon.
All that needs to be done is the following.
The parking brake wire from the back of the nav unit needs to be grounded and another wire cut. I don't have the actual hack in my head.

I have the Lexus hack details, I assume it is the same.
I am going to have a go, I started but wasnt too sure on how to get the sat nav unit out. Got all the bottom panels out and side panels (clip ons), but didnt go any further yet. The 100 series was easier.
I am going to put the speed sensor on a switch so I can flick it on and off and hook the camera up to another switch so it can be turned on if you ever wanted to. (They say if you just cut it, it can play up in Sat Nav mode if the signal is lost for short periods (tunnels etc).
Be careful as passengers can watch the DVD. The biggest benefit is so the passenger can program the sat nav whilst driving.

Check out the results of this carefully. On the LC100's, the DVD Hack (cutting wires) and the Nav In-Motion hack (secret buttons) were two different things that could not be combined.

I installed my nav bipass unit in 2011. I assume its still available although I understand the latest versions on the unit designed for the update model in 2012 did not require the supplied control button but rather are designed to work with 2 quick pushes of one of the existing buttons (volume?) on the steering wheel. I assume its still available for older and update models. Contact them. They are in Ca.

I had a local car audio shop install it in about 2 hours. $60 I think. Works as described. No issues.

is there no other way, this unit is at a pretty hefty price tag.
I like the fact that your wife can not use it while driving - I do not want to be next to her on the road while she is punching the address to NAV, disciplining children on the back talking to you on the phone about that address and grooming herself and all this happening 70MPH merging on the freeway, so safety first BOSS not for yourself but for the others.
