Got a few sighting of LC200 series in Iceland. Running 35” is next.

I’m seriously look like a stalker trying to get a picture of all LC200 I’ve seen.

Iceland has the coolest trucks all over the place. There's clearly a formula they all follow though: big fender flares (bigger the better), wide and tall tires, small diameter wheels, and onboard air if you're cool enough. Lots of 200's for sure. I went in March and here are a few of the highlights:

You should put mirrors on your shoes so you can get a good luck at their undercarriage. :)
Checking for rust, right? We don’t need rust bucket.

I saw the icelandx truck too. Leaving Iceland today. I only post 200 series picture, but I capture a lot of arctic monster truck which is awesome.

Saw quite a few big American diesel pickups too. Talk about spending money on fuel!

Haha, my google drive is full of truck pictures from my trip to iceland several years ago.

My wife: "wow, look at that waterfall."
Me: "uh-huh.." while looking the opposite direction.

I can't say I noticed any 200's though. Some 80s, 70's, lots of vans, Patrols and Prados. Took a tour in a E-350 on 44's which got the gears turning on a camper van :hillbilly:

Rust isn’t much of a problem in Iceland for the same reason it isn’t here in Alaska. We don’t salt the roads. Just drive on the ice/snow. It shocks me that in this age of environmental awareness salt is still used. My theory is Toyota is secretly feeding the road salt industry so people have to eventually buy a vehicle…

I remember going to Iceland 20 years ago and seeing these kinds of rigs for the first time in my life, long before I'd ever heard of overlanding. I could not believe my eyes (at the rigs AND the petrol prices)! The terrain there is so otherworldly and goes from green mountains to moonscapes to beaches. Of course, it's an island so there's not a lot of long distances involved, but outside of a few small towns and Reykjavík, you have to be pretty self-sufficient with whatever rig you are using to find adventure.

Iceland is a very interesting country. ‘Offroading’ is officially illegal and compliance is very strongly enforced. There are gravel road conditions and specific areas like glaciers where you are allowed to drive off pavement but there is zero tolerance for driving off a marked track. The fines and public shaming is quite high.

I never bothered buying a 4x4 while owned a house there. Our Volvo XC70 and XC90 got us everywhere we could legally drive.

It should be illegal to not have access to those fender flares in the US.
They complete the 200 for me.
Agreed on this. I was looking close up on those fender flares. I want one.
