View attachment 1067495 We need better jobs lol somebody is getting these

Heehee...
In all honesty, I can't think of when those double wheel jobs would be helpful for much of anything...unless you spend 90% of the time going in straight lines...slogging through a straight line of mud like a freight train in the jungle...

Anyone???

Life gets busy from time to time . . .

Preparing for the expeditions 2015-2016 season. Finally got the TJM T3, heavy fabrication was needed to get it fixed with the stock winch. And the famous clear view trailer side view mirrors.. .. Mater look ;)

Your mirrors turn me on!

Agree @Markuson, these Very Long Wheel Base (VLWB) are difficult to manoeuvre in dune terrains and but I have seen this particular Merc 6*6 in action and its a beast ! The twin turbo on this thing just cuts through anything or everything. Just super fun to see it jumping from one dune to another. The LC79 version of this is a very interesting concept too and I think it can make up a good overlanding choice , like crossing Africa or something..

Lol ... They are really helpful when I'm towing ...
I don't tow anything and I want them.

The big ford/chevy trucks here have them, and they are gorgeous

Any links to those mirrors? The power mirror function still works?

Yes they are composed of two parts .. The upper mirror is fully powered, and lower one is static wide angle.

These are very famous in Australian overlanding scenes. The manufacture is:

Towing Side Mirrors: clearview, caravans, extention, electric

And you can send a note to Mike ;)

I just checked their site for ClearView mirrors, and at current exchange rates, they cost about $572 US...plus shipping, which I have not learned yet (I emailed them). I will be ordering these.

The only thing they DON'T do is fold in with button press, or angle downward when in reverse. However...the lower portion is a wide-angle lens, which should help deal with reverse feature loss.

$600 for mirrors? Holy crap!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you replace, you lose the power adjusting, defrost, auto dim and power folding.
